Gesund am Arbeitsplatz: Tipps to be Happier and Healthier in Office

 Typing,  thinking and looking at smart phone and again at the computer. In Germany we spend 378 minutes daily looking at the Screen (TV, Smartphones, Laptops, Tablets combined. The negative effect of so many Screen hours leads employees to have more often stress, distractions , Disconnectedness and various health issues such as vision , musculoskeletal problems etc. The need to take care of health of employees is much more as before. Therefore health motivation schemes such as health days help employees to be more motivated. It makes them more open to the company and well as more productive. The company gains instead less sick days and much healthier less stressed out employees.Instead of getting outside help to get employees motivated and productive here are some self help tips to keep yourself happier and healthier in office;

SNACK but healthy:

Jelly beans or candies look very tempting on the desk but they are not worth putting on the extra pounds. Snack what’s healthier take a fruit or a nice health Snacks such as nuts or a Bar without refined Sugars and real ingredients. So you can keep your Energy levels up.

DRINK a lot of water:

No Schörle , Cola or Coffee. Drink around 10 glasses of water and drink a glass of juice a day it helps detox.

 

Exercise

Hop around the desk. Jump a bit. Or go out for a quick run. This helps you get your concentration back and your blood flowing.

Eat a healthy Lunch:

Eat healthy and the right amount of portions at lunch time. Eat knowing that you will be sitting on the chair all day and wont be burning enough calories.

Tension Neck Syndrome:

 Your neck is mostly strained while talking on the phone or typing. Do neck exercises to reduce muscle  tightness and tenderness.

Eyestrain:

Eyetrain is another problem of us computer generation. As a rule the screen should be an arms length from you. You can increase the font so you can see better.

Go on a vacation:

The most important way to stay healthy at work starts with self-awareness, to know Know yourself and know your limits and do the best you can to stay within those limits given your job. Know when to take breaks and know when to take a vacation.
